Clarke IP Law Business Model: provide broad ranging general legal counsel with a focus on intellectual property law equivalent to or better than that found at branded law firms, but with the efficiency, cost effectiveness and attention to service only available from a small firm.

Mr. Clarke has over 15 years of experience counseling clients in patent strategy, general counsel (e.g., contract negotiations and drafting), post issue review litigation, patent litigation, M&A/investment diligence, and freedom to operate diligence.

Mr. Clarke has great flexibility in engagement models.
  • Engages many clients using a traditional outside counsel model with mutually agreeable fee structures.
  • Provides quasi in-house counsel services, i.e., sits at a client's office for an agreed time (e.g., 2 days/wk.) where he regularly meets business and engineering people, learns the business of the client, fields all legal questions and performs the duties of an in-house counsel. The quasi in-house model permits the client to have a in-house lawyer who has knowledge of its business as it relates to its legal needs all without the need to hire an employee with the associated costs and hassles. When the need for full time counsel arises, Mr. Clarke will assist in hiring the best person for the job.
